Number System Shortcuts for Bank Exams:

free download study material for bank exams, aptitude study material for bank exams, reasoning study material for bank exams, number system shortcuts, number shortcut tricks, shortcut tricks on number system, number system exercise questions for practice, number systems practice examples, number system problems with explanation

Example 1
Explanation:
We assume the four consecutive even numbers are x, x+2, x+4, x+6.
the sum of four consecutive numbers is x + x+2 + x+4 + x+6 = 44

4x + 12 = 44 ⇒ 4x = 32  ⇒ x = 8

Then the even numbers are 8, 10, 12, 14

now find the squares of consecutive numbers
i.e. 82 = 64, 102 = 100, 122 = 144, 142 = 196.

∴ 64+100+144+196 =  504
So, the answer for the first example is option 5.

Example 2:
Explanation:
A,B,C,D,E are the five consecutive odd numbers
The sum of A, C is 146, it means A + C =146
Here (A + C) / 2 value is equal to B
∴ B = 146 / 2 = 73
 Finally the consecutive numbers are 71, 73, 75, 77, 79.
Hence the answer is 79.

Example 3:
Answer: 68
We assume the two successive numbers are x and x+1
the product of (x * [x+1]) = 4692 then solve x

Example 4:
Answer: 97
this is also similar to example 3.

Example 5:
Answer: 58
We assume the two consecutive even numbers are x and x+2
x * [x+ 2] = 3248 then solve x value.

Example 6:
Answer: 250
Here the sum of first 5 consecutive numbers are 200. we assume the numbers are a,b,c,d,e.
a + b + c + d + e = 200
the next set consecutive numbers are v,w,x,y,z
in first set the difference between 'a' and 'e' is 8, it means the difference between 'a' and 'v' is 10 and it is similar to b-w, c-x, d-y, e-z. So the final difference is 10+10+10+10+10 = 5 * 10 =50
add this value to sum of first five consecutive numbers, then we will get  sum of next five consecutive numbers.

Example 7:
Answer: None of These
